I have seen people going to jungles and meditate and even at home enchanting mantras. People sit in front of idols and chant lots of things to invoke those Gods. To invoke Angels and different spirits which includes negative spirits. Various Mantras are devised to help people for various things. Now what is the truth, that there is no difference between you and consciousness or there are so many different things..what is there…well..that is true and this is also true. All the Gods and Devas and Angels and spirits are different energies of God. When you worship one particular energy you invoke the powers of that energy inside you. Lets say when you chant for Fire God or any God, whatever energy that God represents, you invoke that, like for wealth you invoke Laxmi and they all exist as the energy of Universe. When you chant for them, you invoke those energies inside you. However, here we forget the fact that these energies are already inside us and we have the same power as we are the Creator of this Universe but we do not realise that and we do not believe that we have the same power and that is why we consider ourselves as lesser than that. If you give same focus to invoking that particular energy inside you without focusing on one particular God or enchanting Mantra you can invoke same powers but because we do not have enough belief we are unable to do so. So both routes are correct, one is a direct route which makes you one with God and one is indirect route, which tells you, you can reach to God, which one do you want to follow, depends on you…the destination is same and the rules are simple, energy flows with intentions.
