He was going through the toughest phase of his life financially. At the age of 35, he had no work. His children were very small, and he wondered how he would manage. He asked if it was right to ask God for money? I asked him what’s wrong with that? If he needs health, he can ask for health. If he needs something else, he can ask for it. He is not doing anything wrong. In his prayers, if he asking for money, what is wrong with that?
But asking for money? Oh, so it means, if we ask for money from god, we are doing something wrong. If we ask for abundance, then we are letting our prayers go down the drain or if we ask for money we become less of a devottee? No!
We all want money and we all need money. Without money, we cannot even do good things we desire to do. We shall not even disguise our intentions of desiring money behind something else. We shall be open about asking and feeling happy about that. See, let’s say, our child needs a new dress, whom would the child ask? The parents. If the child needs money for anything else, whom would the child ask? The parent. If we want abundance and we want for everything and even if we want to live in a bigger house or drive a bigger car, that is I would say, our desire and we shall be happy about it and ask for it.
We shall ask, do appropriate karma and then be ready to receive it.
Do we feel, that all these super abundant people we see around have received this kind of abundance without asking for it? They all asked and they all have it. So be grateful when you have it, put it to good use, help people. Help this world when you have it. Make this world a better place when you have it.
