Someone said that we shall neither love someone nor hate someone. Fair enough. I kept quiet because sometimes, people are not ready to listen, they just want to share. But then again and again. I asked him, do you think, we can live without love? We have this need both ways. We feel empty if we are unable to love. It gives us a purpose. We also feel deprived, if we do not receive love. If love would not have been our prime need, we would not have been able to do anything. Our mythology and scriptures are full of stories where even God could not stop himself from receiving love and he chose love above all. Otherwise, we do have stories of Krishna eating at Vidhur’s home, Bhilni’s ber? They all had God sitting at their home because God received so much love from them. it is said that if we can love God even for one second he is forever ours. So even God cannot stop himself from love. Because love is the essence of our being. Love is the essence of this Universe. But now, the question is was God dependent on this love? Did he stop loving them or anyone depending on whether he received love or not? He is detached from the love he gives us.
We do not have to stop loving, we need to stop getting attached. We need to love without attachment. Detachment does not come from not loving. It comes from surrendering and getting detached from the results. Love is the essence of this being. We cannot stop loving.
So how do we get deatched. First seeing everyone as a part of this Univer and whatever is happening is a part of this Univesal flow. The sceond thing is, know that what you are doing is actually he is doing not you. Stop expecting anything in return. Also start accepting things rather than wanting them to be certain way. Focus on what you are doing without expecting. Because the attachment with how certain things have to be creates negativity. Do not stop loving. Infact love more and more. But love without attachment.
