So two people called yesterday, who had been very restless. They asked, how can they be peaceful.
So my question was what has happened?
The first one said that someone cheated me in business. He gave me fake products. I was piling up my anger for many months. So I happened to meet him today in a random situation and I took all my anger. I said good, then you must be peaceful now. He said, no. I am more restless. I do not know. Moreover, I did take out all the anger, but what do I get from all this? Is it helping me? Has he returned the money? He himself shared the story which Buddha told. Holding anger is like holding a burning piece of Charcoal in your hand, waiting to throw it on someone else. But later on, you realized, you have burned your hand in it. I am glad he did that.
The second lady was very restless because she had an argument with her husband. She told her husband all the things she had been piling up. Now she was feeling bad that how would he feel? The question is, why have you been piling up? Why haven’t you shared when those things happened. Everything eventually will come out. We can never hold anything forever. She shared that, she always thought one day I would give him everything back and then I would be peaceful. But I don’t understand why I am not!
Well, peace can create peace. War can never create peace. Fights can never create peace. Anger can never create peace. Only peace can create peace. If we are wondering, how can we stay peaceful? Then start creating peace.
Thoughts like he is bad, I am being cheated, people are bad, will always create more anger. Change the perception of your thoughts to peace thoughts. HE did what he is. I need to communicate things with my partner rather than I would give him/her back. We are together in this journey. Instead of I am being cheated, say that I can handle it. My money is safe. I can handle things. Everything will be fine. Tell yourself always I am a peaceful soul. Keep working on your peace. Stop stressing about the race of life. Take a pause and look around and enjoy the moment.
