Once an angel and a new angel started their round of the world to help people. So they visit a very poor man, who welcomes them, give them half his food and bed to sleep. The poor man himself sleeps on the floor. During the night, the angel kills the cow and walks out. The junior angel is very surprised and asks why did he do that. The senior one asks to keep quiet. When they start walking, they meet a gentleman who was distributing sweets to the poor kids. He was very happy! He was going on a ship for a new job. Suddenly the angel brings a thief who drops his stealings there and runs away. The police arrests the young man who was distributing sweets. The junior angel again wonders. Then they go to a rice man’s place, who does not treat them nicely. He make them sleep in a store. There was a broken wall there and the angel repairs that. Now, the junior one can’t hold back and asks, the reason behind everything. He says you have done bad to the good ones and good with the bad ones. THe senior angel smiles and says, in the first case, the death wanted to kill his wife, and I directed it to the cow. He can buy a new cow but how would he have managed without his wife? In the second case, the ship will sink tomorrow and this officer would have died. He is newly married and his wife is pregnant. The thief would be found tomorrow and he would be released. But what if he would have died? In the third scenario, there is a treasure behind that wall. If the rich man would have found that he would have used that for further bad things, attracting more bad karma and bad health.
Whenever something challenging happens, I always remember this story and wonder who is watching over me and saved me from what. What good it is going to lead to? How it will help me? After few days or may be I feel more grateful because somewhere I feel what was I protected from?
Do not doubt him, have faith in him. It is like your child may complain that you did not buy the best toy for him but what if you bought that tou after sacrificing one time meal? What if you would not have been able to buy even this much. You brought the best you could. Similarly, he is doing the best he can. Have faith!
