She called and asked, how could she connect with God more?
My question was if her son had to do anything to connect with her?
She said no. She is always there for him.
But what if son goes and starts living in a separate house and is never interested in talking to mom?
She will make an effort.
What if he scolds her for making an effort?
Eventually, she would wait for his call.
What if he keeps making an effort and keeps asking for his mother more and more?
She will be very happy to be around and she will do all she can for him. She would cook a meal for him before he is hungry and she would keep his laundry ready. She will do everything for him like she has been doing always.
This is the relation between God and his children. More and more they ask of him, more and more he is there. If you want to be connected with God, then connect with him, ask for him. he is never far. he is always there very happily. Whatever you will ask, every question, everything is answered there. Just do it with love and gratitude. Do it with surrender and love in your heart. Nobody likes a spoiled and entitled child.
Whatever you want in life, ask for it. Whatever you do not want, do not think about that. If you want God, think of God. If you want abundance, think of abundance. But everything comes with love. Nothing comes with ego.
