Any kind of greed is self-destructive.

His business was flourishing. He was running a coaching center. HE got married and he did not realize, she was a greedy person. She told him, let me manage the finances. Those were the times when people used cash to pay for anything. She started sitting on the money chair and taking all the fees, the center received. She started taking out that money and her husband requested, not to do so. because then he would not have money for other expenses. She did not listen. In two years, the coaching center started running out of money, then debts and eventually stopped in 4 years. She blamed him for not managing it properly as what it had to do with her taking out the fees. If there were students , there would not be any problem. he could not bring in students any more.

But the thing is, business runs with energy. When we are not fair, when we are not committed, loyal, it spoils energy. When she started taking out money, it started affecting the energy of the place. It ran intoi debts and then stopped.

The biggest examples we have of greed is from our history. When Kakeyee expressed greed during Treta Yuga and wanted her son Bharat to become king rather than the rightful heir ram, she lost her husband and son both.

When Duryodhan expressed greed, he lost his brothers and the kingdom during Mahabharat.

It’s natural sometimes to get the thoughts of greed. No one is immune to that. But what to do with those thoughts is up to us. So be genuine. Be honest. Do the right thing. BE giving. Help more rather than taking more. Do more. Do it with abundance of your efforts, and you will receive all the abundance from the Universe.
