A few days back met a gentleman. He grew up in a very bad environment which had pushed him to be a gambler, small thief and petty crimes like that. So he went to jail and then a couple of times for small tenure. He didn’t know if life could be different and there was any redemption. One day when he was walking out of jail, he met a small child who asked him, why do you do something which would take you to jail and he said this is how things are. So the child told me, then do not do that. So he asked, what shall I do in that case? The child said please be a good boy, so the uncle will not lock you up and perhaps you can eat your food on time too. From where was it coming for the child, we can see that. But what it told our friend we can never imagine. So he felt that someone was telling him to be a good boy and if you are, you can have your food on time. Or else you can go to jail. So he decided that he would be a good boy. And he started driving a taxi. Then he found another boy who was on the road crying for help and he helped. He got the boy home. Then he started helping many small children who were in need of help. Not only he changed but he started showing the right path to many more who were about to be lost like him.
That child showed him the light inside him where he felt it was all dark and then he showed that light to many more. We all have that light inside us. We all have that divine presence inside us. We are made of that. No matter how dark it is, it is always possible to let the light out and guide us. Even if we feel it is never possible, it is always possible to be better. Whenever you feel you are lost and can’t find the light, ask light to guide you. Ask God to show you the right way. Surrender to him and he will hold your hand with love. It may appear difficult after that but he will hold you in every difficulty.
Let the light guide you. Let it illuminate your path. Let it embrace you in life.
