Met a gentleman, whose mother was a cook and she worked hard so that he could get a better education and he did. But he was miserable. he was not even talking to his mother and blaming her for their poverty. She told him that I was illiterate still I gave you such a good education, you are educated, so make a life for yourself. He always looked at his friends who came from a good background and blamed his mother for not providing anything like them. He sometimes did not recognize his mother in front of his classmates. When he grew up, he realized his mistake when his own son did the same thing. He sent his son to a school that was far beyond his financial reach. He wondered what had happened to his son. But then realized he had done the same.
He asked a question!
Till the time he himself started going to school, he felt he had everything and the same thing happened with his son too. But why after going to school, they start feeling poor?
Before he started going to school he felt he had everything. That tiny home was his world. He felt happy with good food and small toys. But when he started going to school, he started comparing himself with others. His friends had a bicycle, he wanted one. His friends had bigger toys and he wanted one. He looked at their mother and he compared his mother and he felt he came from a poor background. Till then he did not feel he was poor. So he realized that evil was the comparison and not the situation. He started working upon his own thing where he was constantly comparing himself with others and what they had. he realized that this thing was putting him under lots of pressure. He could not feel free under that pressure. But when he stopped comparing, he felt so free and abundant.
To see his own abundance and stop comparing, he started writing what all he was grateful for in life. He was a grateful man when he stopped comparing. He was an abundant man when he stopped comparing. He gained freedom when he stopped comparing. He felt he again had everything when he stopped comparing.
