Met a gentleman. So calm and stable. He is epitome of strength. I have seen him sailing through everything with a smile. He has always helped everyone in whatever way he has been able to. I have seen him as one of the most kind person. Never making fun of anyone. Even if a beggar child came asking for something, he helped that child knowing there was something good with that too. And how much good that child could do. So I asked him, from where does he get so much strength? What’s his inspiration? He smiled and said, have you ever shouted at anyone? And the answer is yes! How did you feel after that? Well, I did not like that. And I did not like myself after that. So there was someone weak and you shouted at that person, making that person feel further weak. Because we can never shout at someone, who is stronger than us. And you felt further weak. You did not like yourself there. Now, have you made fun of anyone? Have you reminded others of their weaknesses? Yes when I was small especially. So did you like yourself for that? Well, that time I do not know but if I think back, I do not like myself for that.
Now, let’s reverse the question. Have you helped people unconditionally? Have you made others smile? Have you made others feel better? And the answer is yes! So how do you feel after that? Sometimes, they make us feel further better, they give us compliments back, they give us blessings and sometimes their smile tell us all. But overall, I feel good, when I am kind and help others. So do you feel stronger? Yes, I feel so good about myself that I feel a new strength. Exactly! When you give strength to others, you become stronger. You become what you give. It’s like a red color looks red because it is reflecting back red color of light after absorbing all the colors. So life will bring all the colors to us but we will become what we will start reflecting back. So reflect back love, kindness, strength and you would become same.
