I always believe that people are good. They have good intentions and they really want good for everyone. They want to be good and they want to do good things. There is always a light. That’s why we like it when someone says he is a good person and we do not like it when others say, he is not. But sometimes, I have seen people actually doing things which are really dark. And for no reason. Few years back a lady called up as she was unable to go to her brothers place for Indian festival Rakhi. She was really upset. She shared her story that whenever she wanted to goto her mothers place, her mother in law faked her illness. So either she had to come back running or she had to cancel. So I asked the reason and as per her, there was no reason. They had enough servants and everything was in place. Initially she could not see the pattern but over the years she realized it. She had always taken care of her family, she had always supported everyone but when things like these happened, her heart cried. She missed her family so much! I asked her if she ever cursed her mother in law and she said no. But she said that she was feeling so hurt. After few days she shared that her father in law had fallen sick and her mother in law was unable to step out of home for anything. This lasted for many months.
On the other hand, there was a gentleman. HE shared his story. He always helped everyone where ever he could. He would give water to thirsty on road and food to hungry. He would try his level best to make things possible for everyone. So he shared that his work never stopped. Whether he had money or not. Does not matter in what kind of situation he was stuck, he always got help. So many times from strangers. So many times he felt that God wanted to help him in every possible way. It’s like God was always watching him. God was always protecting him.
God is always watching. He is always protecting us. We do not need to do anything extra to please him. We just have to be kind. We just have to do things to support people instead of blocking them. We take care of others and he takes care of us. Be kind. Be light. Be the light that everyone needs.
