Met a lady in her 60s. From her clothes and with the grace which she was sitting, it looked like she was from a very affluent background. She kept sitting outside the temple for a long time. After some time, I asked her, what are you thinking and can I help you with something? She smiled and said, that it’s peaceful to sit here. Then she shared that 30 years back, they did not have enough money. They were struggling for every penny they were earning. So one day, she cried and walked into the temple. She stooped in front of God and said, I can’t do it. You see it now. It’s like her prayers were heard. Though she had not prayed anything. She had just said she can’t do it. But within a week, her husband bagged a new contract and within 2 months, their financial situation changed totally. Since then, they have been growing only. While saying this, tears started dwelling in her eyes. She said that he heard me when I could not say anything. He took over when I could not go further. He loved me when I felt no one was there. He made me sleep when it was far far away. He drove my life when I had no fuel in me. He hears me out even when I do not call upon him. Where ever I am, whatever time it is, he listens to me even before I have words. I do not need to make an effort to please him, I just have to feel that I need help and he is there.
Yes, that is the power of prayers. All he asks is a genuine ask. A genuine surrender. A loving ask.
Believe in the power of prayers. They have the power to wash out any negativity inside us and around us. They are always heard.
