One gentleman asked how it is important to be happy? And yes it is very important. Whatever we do, we do it to feel happy. We buy bigger homes, bigger cars because we feel we would be happy in that. We go to expensive restaurants because we feel happy when we spend time there. Otherwise, a single man needs only one bedroom house to live in. A small ar also would serve the same purpose. A food cooked at home would be healthier in comparison to any restaurant in the world. Still we spend extra because we want to be happy. The way we feel is different in different situations which makes us create different situations.
But what if it’s making someone else unhappy?
Please elaborate. It’s a very generic question. If you buy a bigger car and someone is jealous and he is becoming unhappy, that is not your doing. It is his choice. You can enjoy your things and time. But if you steal someone’s money to buy your car, then it is not acceptable. At that time, it is at the expense of others.
Can you please share a few stories where happiness at the expense of others cost them bigger.
There are plenty and I am sure in millions. Which we also call as Karma calling back.
Now, this expense and cost could be in any permutation and combination. Health, relationship, generations, money or anything.
There was a girl and she got married into a big family. They all loved her dearly. After two years, her brother in law also got married and her sister in law also joined her. So people started giving her also attention and love. Which the elder one could not tolerate. She felt it was at her expense and she was losing her power. So she tried troubling, manipulating the younger one, proving younger one the unworthy of everyone’s love. After 2-3 years, one day, she slipped from the stairs and got bedridden for one year. She went through a lot of pain and sufferings. The younger one supported her. Now, is it Karma or her doing but this is how things happened.
One gentleman desperately wanted to build a house, so he started laundering money from his office. He conned a lady of her property and built a house there. So he shifted. He started his life happily in that house. With time, his only son grew up and never earned a penny. Always spent on gambling. He had a house but no money as his income also had stopped as he was old now.
