There was a lady, who was very successful in her office. She had established her own business and took it to 500 employees. She was very busy with the same. But what was also taking was her energy at domestic front. She was a part of big household in Indian joint family set up. So she was dealing daily with domestic issues as well. Someone once asked her when she was very upset with the domestic issues, that who are you. You are a business woman and you have so many people working for you. Why do you have to tolerate all that. Why are you even participating in all that. Why do you have to live in all that. Just walk away. You do not need anyone. She simply smiled and said, that is my battle too and I have to fight my all the battles. And thank you for reminding me, of who I am and how much I have to be involved.
Another gentleman who was a very successful businessman once was abandoned by his grown up sons when he was old. At old age home, initially he used to be very depressed but later on he realized that he could make a difference there. He had a mind of a businessman and that too successful businessman. He started different activities there. He was a leader. He helped people in being involved, earning and being happy with that. He shared the same. It is about fighting your battle successfully where ever you are. Instead of cribbing that who I was and what i have become.
We all have to play different roles in one life. We can never bind ourselves in one role. All the roles will have own challenges and all the roles will have own demands. We need to play every role like this is the role we are here for, learn from that and successfully establish that. We cannot leave one front saying I like another front more. We have to play on all the fronts with all the pressure.
