She never cared about her parents or family. Everybody said that she never cared about emotions. She could shout at anyone or she could hurt anyone without thinking twice. That was her way of living. She felt proud in saying I do not care who is crying. No servant wanted to work for her but because of her father’s money people took all what she had to say. Finally a day came when she got married. Her father found a rich guy for her and he was one step ahead of her. Generally parents take anything from their children as their love is unconditional but partner would do that, it is very rare. At 1 am in the night he asked her to leave home and she was not allowed even to take car or mobile. He said he had given those to her. She could not believe how she was left on road. While walking back she was feeling scared, angry, lost and many others emotions were surrounding her. First time she was experiencing those emotions. She knew now, how it was to feel hurt. How you feel when someone throws you out just like that. She knew how do you feel when someone is shouting at you and manythings were coming to her. She was walking towards her home and every step was making her realize how bad she had been to her parents and others. How good they have treated her. She realized that what all she has received in life which she took for granted. When she reached home, her mom hugged her saying they would do something against her husband. She was crying but not for what he had done to her but for what she had done to others. She spoke her heart out to her mother and hugged her back saying it is better it is done. She deserved that. That moment was a moment of awakening in her life. She realized the difference between good and bad, light and darkness. She decided to choose love. Now, she was a changed person. She set out on a row to correct what she did wrong. She could not, so she decided that she would give as much as love she can to anyone and everyone. Same girl was helping servants now, helping their children, helping any stranger she would meet. She was so full of love that people around her started calling her epitome of humanity!
Being human is being love. When love awakened in her heart, humanity awakened. She was able to love everyone, she was able to understand other’s pain. This is true for everyone. If we want to realize how much human we can be, we need to realize how much love we can be. And the answer is endless. Love is endless because it is flow of the Universe. We all have so many opportunities to be love everyday. I was reading a small story where a gentleman gave a pair of shoes to a small boy in chilling winter and the boy asked if you are God and he said No. Then the boy asked if he was friend of God and the gentleman asked why do you ask this. The boy said that yesterday, I asked God to send me a pair of shoes. So you must be God’s friend. So he knew how to be God’s friend and it is true for all of us. So we all can be God’s friend by being love, by being more human.
