We do not think good of ourselves, that’s why we expect that from others. That’s funny!

A gentleman who has been on depression and anxiety medicines shared his dilemma. He is a very nice, kind heart gentleman, who has always taken care of his family, was doing well in business and still always anxious. He had two questions in mind which were killing him, what would others think of me and what if something bad happens to me or what if someone would cheat me.
So here is the biggest problem of the world. what would others think of me. Then next level is I do not want them to think bad of me. Then the hidden desire is they shall think good of me. But The bigger question is:
What do you think of yourself?
Never thought of it.
So what do you want to think of yourself? I want others to know me as…..a happy person, generous, kind…
But that’s what others would think of you, what would you think of yourself?
I really do not know!
This is how the conversation has flown most of the times and with him as well.
Often we leave our mind as a an empty vessel. The empty vessel would always fill up something unwanted like dust and garbage. We need to make sure, before our mind catches dust, we need to make sure we keep it clean.
We need to be aware of who we are, what we have, what we are capable of, what we are doing, why we are doing, how we can do better, we can spend, more time in contemplation, how we want ourselves to be, what do we want from self, what do we want to think of ourselves, what do we want to achieve in life…
More and more we would start think, more and more we would be less worried about what others are thinking..mind can follow one boss, we do not have to make everyone our boss…
