Few days back met a small child whose father had gone to another city for work. It was his birthday and he wanted his father to be with him. He said that I know he would come because I have prayed. I have asked God to bring him back. Yes, his prayers were answered and his father came back home that evening. His father could complete his work before time and came back. Prayers are very powerful and how it works? I would say from my heart to God’s heart. Prayers have the power to carry our voice, intention, feelings to God. I asked the child, you had not seen God then how did you know that he would hear? He said that, that’s why I had to pray other wise I would have spoken to him. God is there with us but we do not see him. But when we pray he hears everything. So beautiful! His faith, his belief made me smile and reminded me all the incidences where I had experienced power of prayers.
The list would be long but still I can share few. I was sitting in an orphanage and they did not have money to pay for milk that day. They had not cleared the bills in last 3 months, so the milk man was threatening to stop the supply. Their manager was praying that God please send someone and immediately i received a call from one of my friends that he wants to make some charity, if I know someone who needs help. I was amazed that how quickly her prayers were answered.
One gentleman asked me what is the best way to pray and best time to pray? Well you can pray in anyway and anytime. Restrictions are in our mind not in God’s heart. God sees only intentions. He feels our honesty in asking for it. We can keep sitting in front of idol for hours and ask for many things but not heard and a small voice from heart would have the power to reach there.
So pray for people you love, pray for people who have hurt you (I feel they need it most), pray for people around you, pray for this world, pray for near and dear ones. Our pure intentions would have the power to heal and uplift this world.
