One small child once asked me, why should I treat everyone well and with respect? I love questions especially when they come from young minds. But it’s not easy to answer to a small mind, because it has to be true as well as simple. They have to be away from complexities. Often we do a mistake of telling them wrong answers but we should avoid that because that is how we are setting their belief system for the life time. We assume that he is small what would he understand and the truth is if not now, these things would never be answered in life. They are asking questions, so that they can grow with maturity and intelligence. So the child asked, why I should be very nice?
I did not want to give any fear, like Bad karma and you would have to suffer. So I asked him, how do you feel when someone is not nice with you? He thought for a while and said that sometimes, I have seen my mother is angry and she shouts at me even when it is not my mistake. When it is my mistake it is ok and when it is not my mistake, I feel very bad and I feel less loved. i feel just because I am small I have to go through this. So I was amazed at a child’s observance, they do understand everything. So when you are not nice to people, is it their mistake? He said no. So how would they feel ? He was able to empathize now. Now, the next question was from me. When your mother shouts at you without a reason, and you have felt bad, how does she feel after that. He thought for a while and said that she also feels bad for that. Sometimes, she cries also, sometimes she says sorry and sometimes, she simply hugs me and cries more. But she does not like it when she does that. So when we are not nice to people, we do not like that. Why?
Because we all are connected. We all are created by God. let’s say, when God created us, he created us on same base, gave us just different clothing. That is why we can feel each other’s pain. So in reality when you look at you and me, it is only one God. Rest what appears is different clothing of same God/spirit. But then why do we feel it is different? Because we have been ego with this body. So that we can experience and understand oneness in true sense. A soul always knows its one, still it goes through different experiences to realize that oneness. It is like in school when we know something, we go to science lab to experiment on it, so that we can understand it completely. Similarly, a soul knows its one, there is no difference but it comes here and experiments in various ways to realize everything.
Its all one, its all one God! You and me is a perception of ego in mind!
