Few incidences I would like to share here:
One lady complaint that my husband is becoming very aggressive day by day. Earlier he used to be very calm. We started eliminating lots of factors. After few days we fund out another one that he watches TV while eating food and he feels very connected with political issues. He feels bad when someone is doing bad. (I wonder if they have positive news because once a media person had told me that we print negative news because this is what sells.) Bad emotions started affecting his health too. So he agreed to eat with family rather than in front of the TV. Actually to best use his time and to be aware of his surroundings, he had started eating in front of TV. His moods and energy changed when he stopped eating while watching news and after few days, he started feeling happy, better health and also he stopped over eating.
In one family, food was cooked by their maid. The lady used to get dreams that someone is trying to chase her and kill her. Finally she discussed with her maid about her dreams. Her maid started crying and said that few people have been trying to kill her husband. Though it is her husband’s fault. He did not pay their money on time. So whatever she was thinking and feeling while cooking, she was transmitting that directly to food.
Often food is cooked by the lady of the house but it may be served by servants. In this scenario, an old man used to serve food to the family. While serving, he always used to feel jealous that his children could never eat this kind of lavish food and this family is having. There were problems in family and the two small children used to fight about petty toys. No one knew from where it was coming. But things changed when he left. Gradually they stopped fighting. That time their mother recalled words of old man as he had mentioned many times to gain sympathy.
There are many incidences which show that the food gets affected by our thoughts and feelings. Whatever we are thinking while doing anything is converting into that energy. Our thoughts manage our energy. Food has maximum impact because this food is nourishing us, making our body and mind. So what shall be done:
1. If you are angry, do not cook. Your family will receive that energy. Get aside for sometime. It is more important to serve with good vibes rather than serving on time. If possible get into loving mode when your cooking time is coming.
2. Fill up yourself with positive thoughts before cooking like my son would be so happy to eat it, my family will be nourished, we are so blessed to have this food etc.
3. Serve with love, not as a task. Serve with gratitude. Even if you are serving to the people you do not appreciate, still serve with an attitude that you are getting an opportunity to serve a part of God.
4. Eat with love. Have positive conversation around the food. Do not watch TV.
5. Be grateful for whatever you are eating.
6. Bless your food (we cannot avoid eating out or from others. We can never be sure of everyone’s 100% thoughts)
7. Share your food if possible. That itself will change your thoughts while eating.
Food forms our body and has a great impact on our mind. So eat with love, cook with love and serve with love.
