Their child died and they did not let anyone even touch his things for years. The lady could not conceive also for years. However, when she gave away all the things and cleared the room, within sometime she conceived.
His factory closed down (He had three more factories running) and he slipped into a severe depression. All the time he was thinking that he was losing good old days and market reputation. His other factories also started getting into losses. It stopped when he started valuing what he has rather than complaining about what he had lost.
He had a break up and even after 3 years, he could not learn to smile back. All the time he was hoping that if she would come back. Once he decided to design his life without her and move on, he found another girl. He could not find anyone till he was holding onto the thought of last one.
She lost her job and wanted to commit suicide. She felt that she was worth nothing. Her father tried consoling her a lot but she could not be. She was not even in a state to appear for any interview. After few months she felt she was already dead and she need to live or else she would actually die. She regained her strength and after 10 months she could find a new job when she let go off the thoughts of old one.
He had a huge loss and he kept thinking about lost money all the time. More he thought about that, further he felt bad. He started staying depressed and angry. Then his wife helped him in focusing on how he could earn again, which helped him in focusing on business again with new energy.
We do lose things in life and we need to let them go. If we keep holding on to them, we do not allow new things to come. When someone or something has left us, their purpose has been served and now, we need to create a space for the new one, so that the next phase of life can begin.
