There was a 40 years old lady who was very short tempered. On every small thing she would get angry and she felt people were very bad. As per her everyone had one or other problem. It was difficult for her children, husband and servants to be around her. So here were the things which were happening:
1. She always wanted to be perfect
2. She was very hard on herself
3. Because she wanted to be perfect she always compared herself with many others and she always found one or other thing lacking
4. because she was expecting herself to be perfect she expected everyone to be perfect as per her which no one can be (The way we see ourselves, subconsciously we see everyone around)
5. As no one could be perfect as per her, she would lose temper on every small thing
So how did she change:
First she had to learn to appreciate life and be grateful for every bit of it rather than complaining all day
Second thing, she had to find her own good things and appreciate
She had to tell her everyday that she accepts herself just as she is and she loves herself
In second phase, her work was to find good in everyone everyday
Appreciate what all is happening around her
Gradually she could see positive things and also what were the things happening around her. It made her tolerant of things infact appreciative of things.
She stopped being temperamental and started being peaceful and loving.
First she found peace and harmony in herself and later on she could find everywhere. But that became possible when she started reflecting on good rather than bad.
Like a day has both day and night, everything has good and bad. what we see depends on out attitude. So see good and you will find peace everywhere.
