Everything changes in this world..Nothing is static and what remains unchanged is character of a person..and that’s what you always leave behind..I am not talking about when you leave this world…I never care about that moment as when I am not there, who cares what is left behind…once I was trying to do a referral check for a person while hiring him and when you ask someone how was the person, they talk about his character, he was dependable, he was honest, he was reliable etc etc. Why do companies have HR round these days, so that they can adjudge that if his character is suitable for company’s environment. How seriously it’s taken is a moot question. You leave behind is character nothing else. Character is the wake which follows you. Even if you goto a place for 2 days, people talk about you, they have hardly known you, they have just met you, however, in those 2 days also you leave a wake behind you, which gives enough food to people to talk about you.
A person is known for his character not how much wealth you have, this character is visible in your deeds and how you treat others, which include your family too. If you have always manipulated people to get your work done and to stay in good books always…for once or few time, you may succeed, however, eventually everyone around would know you, they may not come and tell you on face, however, they will never try to have anything to do with you. Whom would you blame in this? Once a person complaint to me that no one listens to him and he has been doing his best for his family and employees, however, when he started opening up, we realised that he has been manipulative in his behaviour.
You need to build your character before building anything else even if you do not realize, people do and this is the wake, you always leave behind.
