Once Buddha was sitting in his ashram and one guy came asking for direction. After asking direction he told Buddha that he plans to settle down in that village and how are the people in that village. Buddha asked him how were they in the previous one. The man replied they were very bad, unwelcoming, always ready to pick a fight and could never understand each other. Buddha told him even in next village they are same. Then another one came asking for direction and tells Buddha same that he is planning to settle in the village. He also asks Buddha how are the people and Buddha repeats his question about the previous village. The man replies that they were very friendly, warm, always ready to help each other and Buddha says they are same in the next village too. One disciple was very puzzled and he asked Buddha what is this. Buddha told him, we always see world from our perception and we imply same on everyone else. A dishonest man would think that everyone else is dishonest, a thief would think that everyone else is a thief and a saint would think everyone else is a saint. That is why for a child whole world is innocent and he would like to play with everyone. Few days back, I met a new friend, who is a friend of my friend from Denmark and she had come here to travel all India. I was apprehensive of her going all alone in Bus/Train for 2 months as this is how we are conditioned in India. An alone girl on her own for 2 months. Anyway when she came back, she told me her stories and she was so happy. She said everyone was so warm and welcoming and everyone was just helping her. Even once on the way she had an upset stomach, few guys babysit her and took care of her for entire night. She went back with all good and happy memories. When I had met her first time, I realized that she is a very warm and happy person and she embraces everything in life. She was vibrating with positive energy. She told me that if she is good, everyone else would be good too. Once I had a colleague, who was a compulsive liar and whenever someone said to him something he always thought that other person is lying. And behind the back he would say with surety that another person was lying. You get what you think and you imply that on others. Do not let impure thoughts effect your pure thoughts, guard your thoughts, so that, you can retain your purity. If you let your thoughts stay pure, world would be pure for you.
