Bluetooth headset on the ear, talking over the phone, inserting CD in the CD Drive from one hand, controlling the steering wheel from another hand, one foot on the clutch and one on accelerator, giving stern expression to the biker and thinking of boss in the mind. Reach to the office, open the laptop, keep talking over phone, give a nod to the fellow colleague, check the e-mails, with another gesture ask the peon to get a cup of coffee. We would like to do so many things at a time and we call it multi tasking. And more than body the brain gets tired why and it makes body also stressed out in very little time. Why? Have you ever noticed that brain is designed to do actually one task at a time and when we try to multi task it keep swinging or keep running between various tasks and when we make it run so much and so fast it gets stressed out. Let’s look at it more clearly, when you switch on the phone while driving for a fraction of second you are doing that only, when you are inserting CD for a very little of second you are doing that only, when you are pressing clutch, your brain is focussed on clutch only and you keep shifting your attention in every fraction of second. You may call it multitasking but in reality you are doing various tasks and the brain is trying to manage those by running around. It’s same like there is only one peon to take around orders for 25 people in the office and he would keep running around all the time to complete everyone’s orders. Ofcourse the peon would be very tired but as he does not have any other option he would bicker a little bit and still keep running around and same way the brain bickers but as have no other option so keeps getting stressed out and keeps working. The result is we are unable to give what actually we could give. We keep living a divided life. We keep doing every task dividedly. Why do we feel stressed out after doing work, instead we should feel great and happy and that should give us more energy as energy is never destroyed and it just transforms from one form of energy to another. So the energy is still there but has changed its form. Why are you feeling drained out, because you were divided and you do not even know in how many forms it has been transformed? Can you find a solution to a problem, until you understand it fully? Can you create a best painting until you have created with your full involvement? What is meditation? Meditation is a technique which separates your thoughts from you and makes you travel inwards connecting with your real self and dissolving the duality of your identity where you see yourself as one with this existence. You dissolve into existence as you are created from it, you are a part of it and you see your presence in everything around you as everything is a part of existence. You stop existing to exist. Whatever is the technique you use to meditate, the purpose is same. This state can be achieved only after you become your whole self, when you start meditating eventually you become one as in whole. Now if you do things dividedly you keep getting divided and your energies too. However, if you do something as a whole, with your 100% attention, with your undivided attention, you will become your best. You will be connected with the self after that. You will stop existing as what will happen around will not matter to you. Haven’t you seen some painter or a poet or some creative person, when they are at work, they are only with themselves, it does not matter to them what is happening around, for them the world cease to exist or they exist in their work. They become part of their work. We call them eccentric but for them their work is their soul and they do not need any meditation as they are already connected with the source or themselves as whole not in parts through their work. We are always connected with the source but in parts, so we do not know if we are connected, if we are connected as whole, we reach to the higher level of consciousness. If you do anything undividedly, you become whole and you become your best. After that you will not feel stressed out or tired, infact you will feel more energetic as you will be directly connected with own source receiving the constant energy from the source. You feel tired as you are distracted and you create blockages and stop yourself from receiving energy. The people who work as whole are not eccentric they are one with this existence and they have dissolved themselves into this existence.
So let’s say:
“If you want to do your best, if you want to be best, then find your best and this can happen only if you work as whole not dividedly.”
Once you work as whole, you will not feel tired after working, infact you will feel more energetic and you would want to work more. You will always feel you are the best and your work will be the best work of this existence. You will not need meditation to connect with the self, you will be connected with the self through your work and you will be connected with the source always receiving constant energy from the eternal source of energy. So whatever you do, do with your whole self instead of making the poor brain run around after every fraction of second, let it focus and create the best.
