Your ego creates an image of you, who does not exist

Someone comes and says something good about us we feel swelled up..whether its true or not and we feel we are riding on cloud 9…not acceptable…you tell someone obese..you loook great..you got great personality (I am sorry to all obese people..no offense)….and the person feels great…even if he knows that other person is complimenting to get out some work done..he feels swelled up….and when someone comes and says something bad…even if its true..we feel offended…and you know the amazing fact…we feel most offended when we know its a truth and we feel guilty about that truth…and we do not like that ourselves..if you tell a fat person he is fat he feels bad..if you tell a person who is not finnacially good that he isnt..he feels bad..I understand on others part they should not say something which offends anyone else or hurts anyone..however, here we are talking about self…why does it happen…one simple word..which is as hollow as its meaning…EGO….looks big as nothing inside..it creates an image which does not exist…and moves us away from reality tahts why when someone tells us the truth we feel bad..means we do not want to accept the reality….most of the times in the sessions I have seen that people keep comparing themselves with others to satisfy their ego to prove themselves that they are better than others.and when someone else does that..compare them with others..they feel bad..but havent they been disgracing themselves? Again the big reason is ego…ego creates an image which does not exist, will always take you away from reality…will never let you accept reality…you need to accept yourself the way you are..after that accepting everything also will become smooth..after that it would not matter what someone else is saying good or bad as you would know what you are…will not provoke you or would never offend you..removing the layer of ego will create a real you.
