One king renounces his kingdom and goes to Jungle and makes his place under a large tree. He does not let any other traveller to come and sit under the tree shade claiming its his. One traveller questions him and he says he renounced everything so he deserved a big tree and traveller asks him, so where has he renounced? Another one lives in a palace with all the amenities..and one day has to leave everything and starts living in a thatched hut. He still has same smile and glow on his face. One king is impressed with his glow and asks him to live in his palace and when he does that he has same serenity on his life but the king is under dilemma that he cannot be a real saint as he is happy in Palace…the King questions him and the saint leaves the palace with same smile…for him it did not matter where he lived and what he ate..
Lots of people think that if they renounce they would become closer to God however, they forget that God is inside you..you do not have to go and hunt for him…he is in everything and every being around you..when you hurt someone you are hurting God…when you insult someone, you are insulting God..the day you would realise that you would not have to renounce anything…you would know that you are already in Gods heart you are never away from God….you would realize that God never wants anyone to be unhappy..everything is being created by him so that you can feel happy..however, its an illusion to see if you can come out of that clearing the Fog…like a child is given lots of toys so that mother can work in the kitchen..but the moment child throws away all and cries, mother has to come and hold him..similarly..you need to throw away all the toys and realise God..he is there for you always…the moment you detach yourself from toys..you will find him inside you…however, if you renounce, you need a new toy..if you detach..you realise and you get what you want..
