We cannot control our thoughts, but we can be aware of our thoughts.

All the time something keeps going on in our mind, the only time when we do not see that is when we are asleep, as soon as we wake up we start thinking, and till the time we drift to sleep we keep thinking, we cannot stop thinking, one voice in head always keeps talking and we keep conversing with that voice. We cannot stop our thoughts and the Universe flows with our thoughts, our vibes are generated from our thoughts. Everything is energy and energy flows with our thoughts, positive or negative. We cannot control our thoughts and they would not stop existing. All the meditations are an effort to reach to the state of thoughtlessness. ONce you learn to manage your thoughts, you become the most powerful as you realise your own potential. Now we cannot control but we can be aware, we can ask ourselves, why do we think the way we think, where are our thoughts leading us. Once I had a client, who use to get angry on every small thing, when he started watching his own thoughts, he would realise as soon as he would start feeling angry or he would feel that his ego is tempered, he would change his thoughts or would divert because as soon as you are aware, the things stop, so he could control his anger. We cannot control, but we can stop them by being aware and then the experience continues.
