I saw a 7 years old girl looking at a beggar and observing him. I asked her, what are you looking at? She said that he looks very sad. So what can you do about it? She said that I do not have money to give and you do not need it. God speaks through children. So what can you do to make him smile? She thought for a while and picked up a flower lying next to the bench she was sitting on and started walking towards the beggar. She gave him the flower and the beggar did not bother. It amused me further that how would this girl react. She looked sad and then wondered. But she sat there and started making funny faces. Finally the beggar smiled and picked up the flower. He blessed the child and the girl ran away smiling.
What she needed was an intention.
We all can have that. I always believe that we all are good human beings and we all want to do good things. Just that we get very busy with life and we forget our own good part. All we need is let it shine. Let the light shine. Let it come out. We do not need to hold it back. When we feel like helping someone, we should do it. When we feel like smiling we should allow ourselves to do it. When we feel like giving something to someone we must do it.
Why to worry what others would think if I am talking to a beggar? Why to worry how would the other person react if our intentions are good? Why to think if it would bring some blessings? Be light and be light for someone else too.
