We have good acreage of rich farming land in our province where from we
used to reap harvest of rice and other vegetables every year
irrespective of weather conditions. There was a neighbor near our that
farming land who owned small acreage of farming land which produced same
harvest though lesser because of size of farming land of him . At this
that neighbor was jealous and sulky all times with us vilifying whenever
he saw us in the farming land. One day my father made a move and
requested him politely ” Sir, will you take position of our acreage of
land and I will take possession of your land for a year only?” The
neighbor was beside himself with joy and accepted our very proposal
right away. We also got relieved since the neighbor will not curse us
again out of this exchange deal of land. With passage of time he used to
shower his gentle smiles and good words and we were very happy because
our neighbor was happy. But after elapse of 8-9 months, one day he came
to us and prayed to us to take back our acreage of land in exchange of
his acreage of land. We wondered and asked him the reasons for his such
change of mind as he already reaped two bumper crops from our land .He
knelt down and admitted that he reaped good harvests but it is very
difficult to oversee such huge acreage of our farming land which was
beyond his capacity. He felt sorry for his rude and inclement behaviors
at us so far and sought for our mercy to forgive him for all time to
come…My father simply smiled and assured him to take back his own land
and return the neighbor’s land…………. which we did
immediately…….
He wanted the power of bigger farm land but did not bother about the responsibility. Same way lets look at this way, who is the most powerful in a company a CEo and he is responsible for everything in that company, profits, operations and everyone’s salary. Things which look easy are not that easy. We all want to have power but we forget the responsibility associated with that. Today in India I would say Sonia Gandhi is the most powerful person but she has the maximum responsibilities too. Its not only about external power, its about internal powers too. Few days back I met a psychic healer and he said its such a big responsibility of being psychic. I can se ethings clearly but I cannot give the information, what if it is misused and its takes up my so much energy…..so everything comes with a responsibility, prepare yourself for that before asking for power.
