Yesterday someone asked me, how to create love for God. Though the answer is simple that its already there but yet its not there and thats why this question is there. If its already there, then whats the problem is feeling love for him. There are two problems here, first we do not see God, we have a conception of God as per whatever is told to us. Second thing is we do not know ourselves. If we dont know something and havent experienced that how can we love that. That is whyw e dont love ourselves and we dont love God too. Its easy for us to love someone whom we have seen and for whom we know he/she has done so much for us. However, if someone is working on back end, we have never seen, how can we create love for him…it becomes difficult.
So before we start working on how to create love for God, we need to understand Gods love. How do we fall in love with a person, first that person loves us and then we realize that love and we also start loving that person. If the love is true, we have emotions running parllel inside us. So first of all we need to realize the fact that first God loves us and we cannot doubt his love. So the first check point is cleared. Now we have not seen God and even if we have seen God, may be we feel he does not match with our concept so we may have not recognised him. So we have not seen God, but we have seen his creation and we can realize how much is being done for us by him. HE has done so much and he doesnt even bother to tell us what all is being done for us. We do not like someone coming and telling us what he has done for us, as it hurts our pride and ego, so God is so kind and caring that he did not even want to tell us that, to spare that pain to us. Can we even imagine that love? Secondly, everything is done for us, we are being created by him, without loving us, he can never create us.
Now to unedrstand God and his love, we need to understand ourselves, because whatever love we give to others, is a reflection of what we feel inside. So first of all we need to know ourselves, create love for ourselves and thenw e would be able to create that love for God. We cannot give what we do not have. So first of all we need to give birth to love for self. Once we would know who we are and how we rae created, we would have no problem in relating with creator’s love. We all are here to realize creator’s love and to reach to him with that love. This is the journey we all are travelling.
We dont have to create love for him, we just need to see how much he loves us. Our soul is already craving for his love.
