No one is perfect or can be perfect. It’s a lie we tell ourselves. Just accept as a whole.

My daughter went and played with her friends. And after a few hours, she came back looking a little sad. She is very accommodating when it comes to people. She would adjust with everyone. But inside she would go through a Tsunami. So she hugged and said, Ma, I want to cry in your arms. I hugged her and asked her what happened. She started crying loudly. and shared, a few mean things kids had told her. She shared that I did not do anything wrong but still they were so mean. Then I told her, everyone comes in a package and we need to accept the person as a whole if we really want to be their friends or want to have them in our lives. But why everyone has both sides? See, it’s like can we have a day without day and night both? It’s completed with both darkness and night and both are needed or else, we would have many problems. See, you love mamma but even she has a darker side. She is not loving all the time, sometimes, I scold you and I give you punishment too. She agreed. And you may not like Mumma at that time or you may feel that mamma doesn’t love you, but can it be possible?

Similarly, we will have people with the shade of every color with them. We may like a particular color and we choose the person as per that but the reality is that everyone has all the shades, which we will see eventually. Expecting a person to be the same as per our definition of perfection is not fair! Can we do that? Can we be the same with everyone and in every situation? We create a definition of perfection and we want someone to fit into that mould but the reality is, even we cannot fit into that mould. Maybe for time being we will and after some time, we will outgrow. We all react and change with time. So accept a person in totality. Accept life in totality and we will be able to adjust to everything ebtter.
