Let it be about burning the negativity inside and bringing in the light.

So my daughter asked me to tell the story. She knew the story but she requested again and she wanted to hear again, how we started celebrating Holi. We all know the story where Hrinyakashyap’s sister Holika sat in the fire with his son Prahlad wearing a blessed blanket. The blanket was supposed to protect her and burn the child. But when the fire was over, she had been burnt and Prahlad was found wearing the blessed blanket. It’s nice to hear the story but what do we learn from that is more important. Holika represents negativity, darkness because she wants to hurt an innocent child, Prahlad represents love and light. The darkness wanted to engulf light and it will never happen if we keep the faith alive. As soon as the light comes in, the darkness goes away. There might be difficulties but eventually, the light will win and the darkness will disappear. When I am writing this, it seems like God is telling me, I need to keep the faith alive because sometimes, I feel scared of what is happening around. First Covid, then war and now inflation hitting everyone. And amidst all this, they are already announcing the next wave of Covid. So with all this, I sometimes get the fear that what all will happen and I have the answer. the light would win. Everyone would be happy and healthy.

Keep following light. Keep following the truth. Keep following love. Keep your faith and you will be fine. You will sail through everything. May every festival brings in more light inside us and burns the negativity inside us. Yes, it’s more about burning the negativity inside us rather than around us.
