I was sitting and thinking, whom all do we worship? Ram, Krishan, Hanuman, Buddha, Jesus, Sai Baba, and why do we worship them? Because they spent their entire life for the benefit of others. They loved everyone equally. They served this world. It’s not that they did not have families or they did not have to face the opposition or people’s opinion. They were also hurt by many even for the right things they did, but they forgave. So that’s the purpose of life. We are here to learn to love more, forgive more and serve more. The more we learn that, the more we will be towards the purpose of life.
However, we all need to choose a path for the same. Someone starts an orphanage, someone starts an NGO, someone starts a temple or a temple with a support system for the needy section. Or someone supports anonymously. Someone starts a hospital, someone distributes food, someone helps with clothes, someone supports the environment, there are so many ways in which people are trying to help. The more they serve, the more they rise, humble they become.
Why do we need to love and serve? Is it for someone else? Does this Universe need our help or do we need it ourselves? When we serve and love others, we realize, how much we can grow in life and how much we are capable of loving. It opens up the channels of love for us. Ahem Brahmasmi. I am the Universe. So more we love and the more we serve, we start this channel of love and support in our own Universe, which eventually starts coming back to us and nurturing us. It’s for own self. It gives us an opportunity to be loved more, grow more, and be better every day.
