It was some 10 years back. I felt I had no one to talk to. That’s a gift of the work I do. A lot of people come and talk to me and sometimes I feel I had no one to talk to. So I talk to God. Or I talk to the nature. It was one of those incidences. I had a bad headache, and I was travelling with a group of school children. I took pills and again I took, but it did not seem to go away. So I went to a kind of park and started talking to all the rocks. Then I was talking to a tree and I felt all the stress was easing out. The pain also started lightening up. Those rocks took my pain, that tree healed me. The fresh air brought new energy to me. I realized how strong they are.
Everything in the nature is healing. We sit with our feet in a flowing river, we feel all the tension easing out, and we feel so fresh. We feel mentally stressed, and we take a walk in the fresh air, we feel good. Sitting next to sea waves is so therapeutic. Every part of the nature is healing us. We hear the birds or rain, and we can reach to a stage of trance. Because we are made up nature, and we cannot live without nature. We need all the elements of nature to stay healthy. We need fresh air, sunlight, moonlight, water, connection with earth and everything else the nature has to offer.
Let’s take it in a different way. We all have small plants in the pots at home. We keep them in sunlight accordingly and in the fresh air. What if we stop giving them sunlight or fresh air. Will they survive? They will die soon or they may not prosper. They may look sick. If plants cannot survive without the five elements of creation, how can we survive.
But these days, we are loosing that connection. First, because of the lockdown, we are staying indoors. Then we do not step on ground. We do not take enough sunlight. We live in Ac, and we walk in an Ac or let’s say, we move in a car. We are in Ac almost every second of the day. How will our body respond? It will start responding slowly by falling sick and we may not realize.
So step on grass, take fresh air, take sunlight, let yourself build connection with mud again. You will regain your health and you will regain the peace your mind needs. We are not made to live in isolation, we are made to live in harmony with nature.
