When I was 11 years old, I managed something bad on my leg. The park grill pierced in my thigh and I had many stitches. My mother was at her mother’s place as summer vacation was just starting, and I was supposed to reach there after 3 days. I was supposed to take bed rest, but I was told by my uncle and aunt, who would do things for you, get up and do it. As an obedient child, I started doing that. It was paining but I got up next day and took care of everything I had to. I can’t say, what they did was right or wrong but in longer run it has done a lot of good to me. I became independent. I learned my lesson. Do not wait for a messiah to rescue you. Get up and do things. Work hard and you will get everything. I do things and I feel no bad for anyone because I know, I have to do things. And then I support others where ever I can. Somewhere I have a feeling, I am blessed with everything. He has been very kind to me. And I feel eternally grateful for my life.
Sometimes parents bring their children to me and ask me, can you please train them on how to handle their lives and I tell them the same thing. Your life is like input Versus output. You can get anything but you have to give your input for that. If you think, someone else will come and give the input and you will enjoy the output, it does not happen like that in life. For everything, we need to work hard, and we can enjoy the fruit. Along with that, we need to maintain our honesty, our values, positive intentions, faith and everything else. Yes, we need everything and then only we can structure a desired life. It is like we need to add everything to make a desired dish. Can we miss any ingredient? No, everything has to be there or the dish we are trying to prepare won’t taste as good as we had desired. And yes, it is a life long work. We are not allowed to sit forever at any point of time. We can take rest but next day, again we have to get up and do our karma.
Do not give everything to your child. Make them work for a lot of things. Make them work hard. Let them sweat. Give them love and let it be a part of your love. Let them learn that working hard is very good. Without working hard, they cannot get anything.
Life is very beautiful but it is as beautiful as we make it. No one else can pain its canvas for us as per our desire. If we want our life as per our desire, we need to work hard to get the colors and paint it ourselves. And still we shall have patience to repaint it everytime we feel it’s not as per what we had thought.
Go, get it guys, life is waiting for you. But work hard to get it.
