He was very frustrated and felt that no one is doing anything for him. He felt like dying. He felt that his mother was thinking of herself, his wife also was focused only on home not on him and children, anyway, they never think about others. He wanted to die. The reason was he was tired of everyone else looking upto him, and he wondered if no one cares for him, why should he live?
A conversation with him, reminded me of a story. A king left everything in quest of enlightenment and meeting God. He started living under a. tree and worshiping God, day and night. There used to be a pomegranate everyday on that tree. The king used to eat that after offering that to God every day. One day he got tired of waiting, and he started shouting, I have done so much for you, but still you do not come to me. What have you done for me? The God started smiling and said that who is giving you this fruit every day.
We feel, we are doing so much, but we keep forgetting who is doing everything else. This happens because we have focused up on, what we are doing. His mother nurtured him, all her life. His wife was taking care of home and everyone else. His wife was cooking for him and children. But as per him, she was focused on everything else. Now, let me ask a. question, isn’t he using the home? Isn’t that system designed for everyone living there? And what about his mothers contribution? And above all, who was giving him fresh air and sunlight. If we follow the gratitude, we would realize, that we can never come out of the debts of what is being done for us. On every step of life, we have been reciving. However, it is about the focus. If we are focused on what we are doing rather than what we are reciving, we will always feel bad. However, the moment we start realizing, how much is done for us, we will see the shift.
The shift which will bring peace and happiness. The shift which will open the doors to more abundance, and happiness. Whatever is the state of mind, we become a magnet to the similar events.
Be grateful for all the challenges. Be grateful for what all you are doing as you have an opportunity to do things. Simply be grateful that you have a family and it gives a reason to something to look forward to. Be grateful that you are alive.
