I was reading a story. Scientists did a brutal experiment. They drowned a rat in water and tested how much it tried fighting. The rat gave up after few minutes. When he was about to die, they took him out. When the rat was well rested, he was put into the water again. He again started fighting and tried staying afloat. And to everyone’s surprise, how long did he try? ! hour? 2 Hours? No! 60 hours. Because he had built a hope that he would be rescued. This is called as drowning rat psychology.
Hope gives us strength to live and hope gives us strength to stay afloat.
We all need this. We all need to have faith that we will be taken out of this water. We all need to have faith that he is watching all over us. We all need to make sure we stay afloat. We all need to keep our love and kindness also alive. It does not mean we sit back. In fact, it means we give our best shot with 100% hope and faith. We need to make an effort with the hope that everyone and this Earth will be fine eventually.
Why it is important to have hope alive. Few years back, I met a lady. She said that, she used to keep candies in her purse. If she saw a child begging, she would give him a candy to make that child smile. So beautiful. But then, one girl, threw the candy back at her and few more did something bad. So she quit after this. But then what about all those kids who smiled at her and made her feel better? We cannot quit because someone else acted inappropriately!
A few years back, I remember a gentleman shared that how his father survived. Even doctors had quit saying, they do not think his father would survive. But he had faith and his father also wanted to live. His father did not quit and nor he quit. His father started recovering and he came out healthy.
I am not denying the surrounding deaths. I also see people leaving Earth everywhere. Still, we need to keep our faith alive. We need to have faith that he is there. We need to have hope that he is watching over us and taking care of us.
