A heart filled with gratitude is the biggest prayer I can offer.

Sitting amidst all the challenges of life, feeling all broken, in desperate need of help, nowhere to go, no one to ask for, no one to come and say few good words, believing that he is always there and taking care, having faith that he is taking care of me, having awareness that he is aware of everything, doing all I could do to fight back in life, trying to stand like a pillar even when physically, mentally, emotionally I was falling apart, all I could do was cry and say thank you.
My friend called up as she was going through all the challenges of life. She said that while growing up from her mother and from her own experiences she had learned that God is always there, he is doing much more than we know, and we should always be grateful. So when she was going through one of toughest times, she sat and cried and said thank you believing that it is a prayer and it would reach. She did not want to complain, she did not want to ask for anything but still she wanted to pray and she said thank you. It was not her ego hat she did not want to complain or ask for anything, it was her faith that God is already taking care of her and if she was still feeling bad, she should not, so all she kept saying in her prayers was thank you.
Her faith, her love, her grateful heart, gave me faith and strength. It gave me a direction that we can actually stay surrendered and filled with love even when we are going through the biggest challenges of life.
If one thing we all can learn that can bring any miracle in life is gratitude. Gratitude brings love, it brings healing, it releases any negativity, it brings all the abundance and it helps us stay strong. It gives us faith and it gives us strength.
When we were small we were told say thank you but it’s time to feel that thank you. To feel that in every good and bad. To feel that in every challenge we are facing. To feel that in every person we meet. Someone will support us with love, someone will challenge us to grow. But there is a grace in everything we are facing and everything we have.
After hearing her, today I can surrender and bring is a grateful heart.
