So many times, parents come and ask that is it possible that their children will not have any problems in life? Can I train them? And the answer is no. Why I cannot train them and why it is not possible? Can any amount of positivity and good karma help them? It will help. But it will not stop those storms. It is like you cannot control the weather. What you can do is, you can build a strong building with a strong foundation so that it can bear that storm and can stand the test of time.
Even when God was born, he had to go through so many challenges. We cannot even think of that kind of pain. Starting from ram, he was born as a Prince, lived in Gurukul for years, fought many demons, when came back and married Sita, he had to leave his princely life, then again fought ravan and when he came back, his wife left when she was pregnant. When he met his children he lost his wife. And Krishna, Jesus, Buddha had own challenges. Or may be they endured so much, that’s why we see them as God today.
So what shall be done?
We need two strong things here. Strong foundation and strong building. Our value system and the thought process is the foundation and our Karma is the building here. We need to hold on to the values, create a strong thought process, positive thought process, and we need to keep doing good, looking at the bigger things in life. We need to look at what is more important in life rather than getting stuck with the small things. For example, his daughter had a fight with her husband over the choice of her wedding dress. They were almost broke up their engagement over that. She needs to look at what is more important. Is her wedding dress above getting married and have a great relationship with her husband?
When we do good and hold on to a positive thought process, we build a life which can stand the test of time. When we look at the bigger things in life, it helps us in reaching at the right place.
