One gentleman called up early in the morning saying I need your help. I said go on! Tell me how can I help you. He said that he had a fight with his wife few months back and in that fight his said that he did not have any personality and no girl would like him. To prove her wrong or to prove to her that he did have attraction, he got into extra marital affair. Now he feels guilty, he can’t sleep and he is scared what if his wife finds out. So I asked, you started this affair just out of ego and he said yes!
So the next question was, what do you want and he said that I do not want guilt or shame or this sad feeling. I want to be happy and peaceful. You do something to serve ego but the result you want is of happiness, how can it be possible? If you want the final result as happiness then you have to do things which will make you happy. So what will make you happy now? If I have same freedom back in front of my wife. How would you get that? If you do not have constant fear what if she finds out, what would she think of him. But does he have courage to go and share everything? It might be turbulent for some time or even may be a year, but if you would have pure intentions then it would be fine in the end. It took him all the courage of the world, he went and accepted. She left him in rage and he kept loving her rather than fighting out ego. After one year she could believe his love again and they created a very loving relationship after that.
Often we do many things which has nothing to do with happiness but we want to be happy. How can it be [possible. If want coffee out of cup, we need to put coffee into it. If we put some garbage into it and we want coffee, it is not possible. If we want happiness in life, we need to add happiness to life. To our lives and to everyone’s life around. Afterall we all are connected and one.
