My daughter asked me, how can I be happy? I was surprised at her question. She shared that she was very sad. I asked her why are you sad? The answer was simple. We did not get Diwali gift and we are not going anywhere. So I am sad. Point noted. So I told her that you receive, what you give. What would you like to give today and what have you given today? She shared with a grin that I had hurt Pari (My second twin) and then? I fell on the ground myself. So you do receive what you give. So what would you like to give today? She came into my lap and hugged me and started loving me. And I started loving her back. And then again I told her the same thing. You gave me love, so you have received love. What would you like to give, so that you can receive gifts? Now, the real question started. Whom to give and what to give. They made cute cards, they also asked if I can send some gifts for the people in slums outside the society (Before the covid situation we used to go out often to distribute things). And sure. I will send those, and then they asked if they can receive gifts now? But then it has to be sent from the money in their piggy bank, and they agreed. And I agreed to help them in choosing their gifts.
I am grateful to God that I grew up in the environment where I learned sharing and where we were taught to give love, honesty and share abundance. We were told that we shall eat after taking out first bread for someone needy or the cow. I am grateful to God that we were taught to respect even a dog on the street and never to disrespect anyone in life. We were taught to speak nice words and bless those who have hurt us. We were taught not to take revenge as this is the prerogative of time.
While growing up, I have seen the importance of sharing. And sharing is not only about sharing money. It is also about sharing love and happiness too. It is about sharing respect too. It is also about sharing everything with love, not with ego. Whatever you want in life, share it with love and you will see everything growing in life with love.
