This gentleman invited for a some family function at home. So we went there as a family. It was his house-warming party. He shouted at the servant, did not pay full amount to the caterer, and then sat for the Havana. After he completed all the customs he asked me, how should I differentiate between right and wrong? How can I meet God?
I had observed everything but did not say but when he asked, I could speak. I asked him, you did not pay the full amount to the poor caterer, did you do the right thing or wrong thing? He started justifying. I told him just to speak the truth without the layers of justification. He accepted, somewhere he had done it wrong. But if you knew it, why did you do it? Would a thousand rupees make a difference in your life? The way you are treating your servant is it right, and he accepted it was not. Are you doing any favor? They are working and you are paying. Then why are you shouting? What if they shout back thinking the same. I am doing his work. And what if he denies doing your work? Can you manage? Now, inside you, you know everything. That is God.
Still, you are denying and not behaving as per what is right, then how would you meet God. If you really want to meet God, first you listen to him, follow that, then you will find God in everyone and everything. It is like, you are sitting at home, your son starts calling someone else as his father, though you are doing everything for him, like giving him food, building a house, paying for his expenses, etc. How would you feel? Can that person whom your son is calling his father, be actually his father? Can that person do everything for him? No! Then same way, you need to first see God inside yourself and then you will meet God everywhere.
Look inside and you will find everything. Follow what’s coming from there and you will meet God. He is not far. But when we do not listen to him, we ignore him. And then we feel we are far from him. We are because we have been looking everywhere else but where he actually is.
