We must train our children to be grateful if we want to have a peaceful and happy next generation.

I feel bad when I do something for someone and it is taken for granted, even if it means I had stepped out of my comfort zone. I also feel bad when I do something not out of obligation but to help someone and the person finds faults in what I have done. But then I sit and think, does God also feel the same? He keeps giving us things and keeps doing things, either we take it for granted, if not done we complain, or we also find faults. But if we are in trouble, we blame him first.

I was stressed out thinking what I do not have and what is not done for me. Then I made a list of what I have and what is being done for me. i was feeling happy and peaceful. I felt like giving more to the world. I felt like doing so many things.

When I was observing everything, I realized that gratitude or feeling grateful is not for someone who is doing something for us. It is for own self. It is to feel peaceful and happy. It is to feel more loving. It is grow in life. If we do not have gratitude, we are stuck.

My fear is for the next generation, when I see small kids, getting stressed out, angry on small things, screaming if something is not done for them. I sat and wondered if they need to be peaceful and happy, they also need to start seeing what’s being done for them, what they have received. What they have.

We must train our next generation on same, as a parent we have a great responsibility of raising, happy, loving, compassionate and grateful kids.
